“Moody, Cozy, and Dark Whimsical” is how Ashley, the owner of Shadowbound Spines would describe the company.
The company was started for fun in May of 2023 and officially became an LLC in 2024! They have been operating for a year as a female owned business based in Dallas, Texas.
About the Owner - Ashley
When I asked the owner Ashley, what features of the company she enjoys the most, here is what she had to say:
I really love that my products appeal to several different types of readers. Shadowbound Spines is not just one niche here in the bookish community, and that can be seen through the variety of products I create.
I love that Ashley has created her own little safe space in our wonderful bookish corner of the internet. It’s important that readers feel safe in the spaces we build for each other. This applies to readers of every genre, including dark romance of course. Shadowbound Spines offers dark themed options for the ghoulies (gender neutral) looking for something dark and wicked. Especially with today’s merch launch!
Ashley has a background in professional counseling and connecting with people has been such an important part of her life. She is also an ambivert who “enjoys engaging with people on a more personal level.” I can admire how well ambiverts adapt to the world around them. As an ambivert myself, I love that the bookish community has provided me with a space to be my bubbly self, but also to transition and hide away with my books and blankets without juddgement.

I couldn't agree more with her! It’s so hard to create items that are versatile for every reader or individual customer. Stickers go such a long way and I don't know about you guys, but I love to decorate and redecorate my kindle one-hundred times over so I’m always in the market for new stickers!
