I 100% believe in the green light and Tylor Paige’s ability to write an entertaining story! Ever since Slash or Pass was announced, I have read every single new release that Tylor has come out with and I have had so much fun. I cannot get enough of Tylor’s writing. AND… Beautiful Little Freaks has to be hands down, my favorite story by Tylor.

Have you ever read a book and just completely lost yourself in it to the point that everything around you doesn’t exist? Have you ever read a book and just felt like you were watching it as a movie? Have you ever just felt so deeply for characters that you start yelling out loud when things go sideways? Well, this book has me saying yes to every single question and wanting to watch The Great Gatsby.

So as I’ve mentioned, this book was entertaining! This book took me on a journey full of emotions. I was making all kinds of expressions. I was smiling, smirking, crying, laughing, frowning, and also snarling. There were moments I was fanning myself because it was getting hot in here. There were moments that I literally felt nauseous thinking about some of the things that happened or were happening. There were moments that I was cheering the characters on out loud. There wasn’t an emotion that I didn’t feel.

Okay, before we get any farther into this review, let me just say this book is not for everyone. This book has multiple triggers and is also political at times. Tylor does a fantastic job laying all of it out before the books starts. If you find yourself wanting to read this book, please make sure you check that out beforehand!

Gatsby and Daisy both were trying to escape their lives when they were just kids. Gatsby was forced to do awful things. Daisy was stuck as a prisoner in her own home. Both Daisy and Gatsby decide to meet up for the first time and everything is going great until one night everything goes sideways. I’m talking 0 to 100, real fast. With Gatsby in jail for murder and cannibalism, Daisy doesn’t know what to think but she still believes in the green light even if it seems far away.

Both characters went through hell growing up and I truly felt so much sorrow for them. But their pain brought them together and I loved reading the little glimpses into their past because it made the connection feel so much deeper. I could feel the love between the two of them just by the words and their actions. My heart broke for them and broke for all the time they missed together. Their reunion was everything I needed but all the odds against them had me ready for war.

Gatsby had me in a chokehold, literally. Like is there any way I could be Daisy? Cannibal or not… I take it back, Daisy might kill me. In all seriousness, I love Gatsby so much. His character is amazing. He has been through hell and back but he will stop at nothing to get the revenge he is owed. Everything he achieves and everything he does is amazing. He is definitely on my top list of book boyfriends.

Daisy truly made me break. All she ever wanted was to be loved and when she finally got that, it was all stripped away. I felt every bit of her hurt through the pages. I hated seeing her going through it all. But there’s nothing I loved more than seeing her be herself with Gatsby.

This book had so many twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. There were so many moments that my jaw hit the floor and left me speechless. The spice in this story hit just right and I ate it up. The action and the plot were perfect and executed beautifully. The characters in this story really kept everything interesting. I really enjoyed the good ones and obviously hated the bad ones. I honestly am so sad that this book is over because I could keep going! If you have enjoyed this review and think you might be interested, go check it out because it’s a wild ride!

And to wrap this review up, I want to leave you with my favorite quote…
