What am I reading this week?

Physical Read:

I let my boyfriend pick the book I read this week based on the cover. The cover that I currently have is the Dark and Disturbed exclusive limited edition from their NSFW Cover Box. All I know about this book is that it’s a dark psychological stalker romance, but other than that I am going in blind!

Kindle Read:

At the time that I am writing this, I am 78% of the way done with this book. This is my favorite book of this whole series and I am so shocked because I absolutely hated this character! His redemption story is soooo good though! He is now my favorite character in this whole series and I absolutely loved this series. Katelyn Taylor is a literary genius and I am currently making my way through her backlog and I have yet to find a book that I dislike!!

Audiobook:

To be very candid, I can’t say that I love this book and I am so sad about it. It’s been a little tough to get through, but I will absolutely keep you all posted with a review sometime this week!

Influencer Spotlight

Bookstagram:

@spicyreadswchlo on Instagram

Chlo is one of the sweetest human beings I’ve ever met. Her booksta content is so genuine and I can see why she is so loved by Authors. It’s because she is so genuine in everything that she does. I absolutely recommend checking her IG content out!

Booktok:

@isisreadss on Tik Tok

I love watching Isis’ videos on TikTok. She’s just so funny and her book reviews are always a fan fave! She’s a Latina creator you should all support!

Booktube:

@liddoturon on Youtube

Cris’ youtube videos are so much fun! I love when she goes through her monthly wrap-ups because she tells you exactly what she felt about the books she read! It’s so easy to follow along which is my favorite part. Safe to say she’s one of my favorite Booktubers of the year wink wink.

Author Spotlight

I’ve had the pleasure of reading Mae’s books and her MMCs are truly some of the most unhinged characters I have ever read. My favorite book of hers is Book 2 in the lasher brother’s Duet - Escaping Xavier. He is just as unhinged as his brother Zaine, if not more!!

New-to-Me Authors

I am always trying to expand my TBR as are most readers. I will say that my TBR list is ridiculously long, but I am so excited to be able to add these authors. These books look phenomenal and I cannot wait to get into them in 2025!

Bookish News This Week:

I haven’t seen any new news prior to this week so there is nothing to currently report. However, I will keep my ear to the ground to see what we can discuss next week!

Booktube Videos of The Week:

Heidi’s video was so nice to watch because she reviewed some books that I have really been wanting to read. For me, I love when people give their views on books even if they didn’t like them because I love having perspective. She honestly made me want to read the Darkverse series by Runyx even more now!

Vicky shared that she was new to reading dark romance which was so refreshing as we get to go on that journey with her as she reviews these dark romance books. She talks about how interesting it is to read about morally grey characters and their actions in comparison to our real lives. Her perspective on what she didn’t like about God of Malice by Rina Kent is a perspective I found myself leaning into as she spoke about it! I will definitely be watching her dark romance vlogs in the future!

Natalie is such a funny reviewer! She reads the synopsis of the book before diving into her reviews and I absolutely love that! She also loves vampires so that’s my type of girl! She’s absolutely hilarious and would definitely recommend this video if you’re looking for a good laugh. She’s an absolutely honest reviewer and forewarns people in the beginning about who exactly these videos are for. I’m so here for it!
