I FREAKING KNEW ITTTT!!!
Okay, let me reel it in and start at the beginning.
Talk to me ended with one big freaking cliffhanger that had my jaw on the floor. I immediately started panicking and I had to know what happened so in comes Don’t Let Go.
Don’t Let Go started right where Talk To Me ended. The emotions consumed me. I was reading so fast just trying to figure out the outcome of the cliffhanger. Once I got through the first couple of chapters, everything settled and the anxiety tampered down but then the other emotions started to come on.
Sadness because of everything Patch has and continues to go through. Happiness because everyone’s okay. Anger because everyone is always in danger. AND lustful because I need some spice in this duet!
Now onto the rest of the story.
Patch and the guys have a long road ahead. With forgotten memories, trust is a rocky road for all of them. Not including the people hunting Patch. So really, Patch has no choice but to trust. The guys do everything in their power to make her comfortable and help her. In return, Patch gets her groove back and the strong badass hacker is back and ready to go.
Tension between Patch and the guys has been there since book one but this book finally let it loose. The spice in this book was good and I ate every little bit of it up. I will say with book one not having any spice, I thought book two would have a lot more than it did so that kind of bummed me out but I loved the spice that was there.
Patch online. While all of the bad guys are still hunting for Patch, she and the guys continue to search for her way to freedom. All the action kicks in and the four of them are honestly just badass. One by one, they find who is behind everything and the revenge is so sweet and satisfying.
This duet was honestly so good and I am so glad that I picked it up. Both books held my interest and kept me on my toes. I will admit, book two didn’t have as much action as I was expecting and the majority of it came so close to the end. Honestly, the ending of book two didn’t give me a complete and closed book feeling. I just wish there was an epilogue or even a little bit more. However, I still enjoyed this story.
Now, I just feel so incomplete that these characters are gone and I wish I had more!
Remember when I said, I freaking knew it… well, I typically don’t like to write spoilers in my reviews but I just had to let this one out. So proceed with caution.
In the first book, there was a character that had a quick intro that Patch helped just like the other guys in the story. Somewhere in the middle of book one, I thought to myself where is he, was he going to be a part of the group, and did I make the character up? I went back to the beginning of the book just to make sure I read the correct name and wasn’t fully losing it. Sure enough, he was real. I went on reading the rest of the book just waiting. I had this feeling in my bones that he was going to show up and be a part of the bad guys. Sure enough, he popped up and had to be on the wrong side. I KNEW IT!
